The MS CONSULT Ethos
Approach to Asset Management
LGA Infrastructure is often a vast and under-represented portfolio. However, risk to business and the community can be quantified and reduced when appropriate Asset Management lifecycle planning is in place.
Asset Management planning is not a standalone service or tick-box exercise. It integrates with other primary functions of LGA’s, including engineering, environment, finance, and corporate services. It is a mix of both People and Processes that ensure organisational goals are achieved. Therefore, Asset Management needs champions who can passionately advocate and bring together the relevant stakeholders for real and meaningful outcomes.
Asset Management practices are most effective when following a clear ISO aligned approach, but remaining pragmatic to each organisations unique constraints.
Meeting Organisations at Their Point of Need
It is understood that many LGA’s often have limited access to Asset Management professionals, and varying FTE requirements that don’t often suit traditional recruitment pathways. Michael offers flexible engagement options as either a contracting consultant, direct part-time employee, or on a project-by-project basis. Engagements are predominantly working remotely from Adelaide, with regular scheduled onsite engagement and support.
Leveraging Best Practice Asset Management Experience
Michael brings vast experience in Asset Management projects across both metropolitan and regional LGA’s throughout South Australia. While many shared lessons and standard processes can be applied, each LGA is unique. Michael can meet organisations at their current level of Asset Management maturity to provide ongoing support; whether that be to maintain business-as-usual operations or champion business improvements and strategy.
